60th anniversary
Cecil and Sue Ivy
Cecil and Sue Ivy were recently honored with a reception to celebrated their 60th anniversary. The event was hosted by their son, Eugene Ivy and his wife, Alice, and held at Holiday Inn in Meridian. The couple was married June 23, 1941, in Newton County. They have two granddaughters and two great-granddaughters. Mrs. Ivy is a retired nurse and Mr. Ivy is a retired surveyor. About 50 family members and friends attended the event.
75th anniversary
Allie and David White
Allie and David White of Meridian will celebrate their 75th anniversary on July 17, 2001. They have one son, the late Dr. Reginald P. White, and a daughter-in-law, Elaine White; two grandchildren, Becky Gray and David White; and three great-
grandchildren. The Whites are members of Poplar Springs Baptist Church.
45th anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Sanders
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Sanders celebrated their 45th anniversary on July 13, 2001. The Sanders were married in 1956 at Southside Baptist Church parsonage in Meridian. The couple has two children, Becky Pierce and her husband, Buddy, and Alan Sanders and his wife, Leslie; and three granddaughters, Ashley, April and Sarah. Mrs. Sanders is the former Mae Jewel Pope and is employed by Riley Hospital. Mr. Sanders is the owner of Sanders Gun Shop.
50th anniversary
Albert and Bonnie Barber
A golden wedding anniversary reception for Albert and Bonnie Barber of Collinsville will be held Sunday, July 22, 2001, from 2 p.m.-4 p.m. at Bobby Smith's lake cabin in Neshoba County. The couple was married Dec. 10, 1949. The event will be host by the couple's family.
