    Brooks and Tony Sheffield of Meridian announce the birth of a daughter, Elizabeth Marie, born Dec. 18, 2000, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
    Mrs. Sheffield is the former Brooks Graham.
    Janet and Tyrone Burton Sr. of Cuba, Ala. announce the birth of a son, Tyshawn LE'John Denzel, born Dec. 18, 2000, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
    Mrs. Burton is the former Janet Ruffin.
    Randy and Melissa McElhenney of Union announce the birth of a son, William Jody, born Dec. 19, 2000, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
    Paternal grandparents are James and Margie McElhenney.
    Maternal grandparents are Jody and Virginia Loper.

    Mrs. Hickman is the former Sheila Latrece Hampton.

    Mrs. Yates is the former Rita F. Munn.
    Anita and Frederick Foriner of Toomsuba announce the birth of a daughter, Alexia Ma'Kylia Rene, born Dec. 20, 2000, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
    Mrs. Foriner is the former Anita Stokes.
    Marla Milstead of Stonewall announces the birth of a son, Jaylon Cordell McQuietor, born Dec. 20, 2000, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
    Latrenia and Jeremiah Coleman Jr. of Preston announce the birth of a son, Jalen Damon, born Dec. 20, 2000, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
    Mrs. Coleman is the former Latrnia Cole.
    Buck and Robin Michel of Meridian announce the birth of a son, Hayden Lewis, born Dec. 20, 2000, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.

    Maternal grandparents are Wilmer and Diann Chandler of Enterprise.
    Mrs. Ferguson is the former Sandy Chandler.
    Jonah Ethan, a son, was born to Mark and Erica Flake of Philadelphia on Dec. 20, 2000, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
    Paternal grandparents are Dale and Jean Flake of Philadelphia.
    Maternal grandparents are Ricky and Bobbie Horn of Carthage.
    Mrs. Flake is the former Erica Dale Horn.
    Carly Jane, a daughter, was born to Bob and Wendy Jane Smith of Union on Dec. 20, 2000, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
