Don’t miss annual bridal edition of Franklin Living

With the holidays behind us and the long, drab days of winter in view, it’s the perfect time to offer our readers something to brighten the days ahead: the bridal edition of Franklin Living.

It’s so fitting to present our special weddingfocused issue in January/ February each year. A focus on love can help make our hearts a little lighter during the heavy gray days of winter, not to mention tying in well with Valentine’s Day as it approaches.

Starting on page four of this edition of Franklin Living – copies are available available at our office and in yellow boxes around the county – feast your eyes on the beautiful weddings of six Franklin County couples. They each share all the details of their unforgettable wedding day, as well as the love story that led up to the moment of the “I do.”

We love having the opportunity to give you an inside look at different kinds of weddings, and it’s also a joy to get to highlight some of our local venues, photographers, florists and other vendors. If you or someone you know is in the midst of wedding planning for 2025, you might gain some inspiration from seeing how other Franklin County brides and grooms tied the knot.

And by the way, 2025 brides-to-be – we’d love to feature your wedding in the next bridal edition. Keep that in mind as you plan every detail and contact us if you’re interested.

Of course, we have even more to offer when it comes to love and romance features in this issue.

Read about The Venue at Overton Farm in Hodges, Mustard Seed Bakery in Russellville and see Lori Skinner’s recommended relationship reads if you’re in the mood for a good romantic read.

Check out upcoming community events, learn how to have wedding bliss without financial stress in Emily Mays’ column and read five tips from Katernia Cole Coffey at the Franklin County Extension for picking the perfect petals. Read Jeff Johnson’s Faith Focus column about the beauty of marriage and check out Amy Dolan McCollum’s recipes for celebrating a happy new year.

Read about a new local venue that opened in 2023, Scoters Farms, and see Lori Skinner’s recommended titles if you’re in the mood for a good romantic read. Meet wedding coordinator and stationer Elizabeth Joyner, and get some flower tips from the Franklin County Extension.

Of course, Emily Mays has your bi-monthly financial advice on tap, and Philip Goad has some encouragement for your faith. On top of that, Amy McCollum has some recipes to help you get the year started on the right foot.

It’s all inside this edition. You’re going to love it.
