Red Bay picks up pair of wins

The Red Bay Tiger softball team picked up a pair of wins this week, beating Cherokee 5-0 and Colbert Heights 3-0.

Red Bay got all they needed in the top of the first inning on a grand slam home run by Journee Swann. Hannah Butler, Jazmyn Pearson and Kyla Blackburn all scored on the homer.

The Tigers added an insurance run in the second inning. Gracie Edgmon scored.

Butler went the distance in the circle, getting the complete game shutout, allowing two hits and striking out nine.

Later in the week, Red Bay beat Colbert Heights 3-0.

Hannah Butler got the job done at the plate and in the circle.

At the plate, Butler had two doubles. In the circle, she pitched a complete game shutout, allowing three hits and striking out six.

Swan also doubled twice, had a RBI and scored a run.
