Franklin County Basketball Tournament
Jan. 8-13
Red Bay, Tharptown, Vina, Belgreen and Phil Campbell teams will face off on the court for the annual Franklin County Varsity Basketball Tournament. This year the tournament will be held at Phil Campbell.  

Fellowship Lunch
Jan. 11
The Russellville Electric Board invites everyone to lunch and fellowship Jan. 11. The REB will be serving beef stew, Brunswick stew, chicken stew and chili from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Russellville Electric Warehouse, 1012 Jackson Ave. S. 

LifeSouth Blood Drive
Jan. 19
The LifeSouth bloodmobile is scheduled to be in Franklin County Jan. 19 at Franklin Homes in Russellville from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Donors must be in good health, 17 years old or older or 16 years old with parental permission, weigh at least 110 pounds and show a valid photo I.D. Franklin County Cattlemen Banquet
Jan. 20
The Franklin County Cattlemen’s Association Banquet is set for Jan. 20. Association members will come together for a meal, updates on the cattle industry, reports from officers and awards presentation. For more information on becoming a member or attending the banquet, visit the group’s Facebook page. 

BTCPA’s “Fox on the Fairway”
Feb. 15-18
The Bay Tree Council for the Performing Arts in Red Bay will stage its second production of the season, “Fox on the Fairway,” Feb. 15-18, with dinner available before the play for all performances, at the Weatherford Centre. For information about bringing a group, contact Beth Hammock at 256-668-0045.
