RHS cross-country teams place in local tournament

The Russellville High School boys and girls cross-country teams kept busy last weekend competing at the Warriors Invitational at Wilson High School in Florence.

The boys’ team placed second out of 10 boys’ teams. First, third and fourth places went to 7A schools.

Connor McFall took a fourth place finish, with Connor Evans, Isaias Jose, Uriel Mojica and Xander Greenhill finishing in the top 25 out of 125 runners.

The girls’ team finished sixth overall. Esbeidy Jiminez, Maribel Martina and Daimar Valdez finished in the top 30 out of 74. Nine girls teams competed.
