New issue of Franklin Living comes out this week

In my line of work, I get to meet a lot of interesting people, and three of them are featured in our new issue of Franklin Living magazine: Lee Todd, Avery Guinn and Robert “Buddy” Perdue.

Lee Todd is a third-generation stonecutter at Alabama Stone, following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather. He shares his love for his work and the satisfaction he gets knowing that he makes detailed lasting impressions that are incorporated into a wide variety of buildings and houses.

Avery Guinn discovered his love for entertaining – theatre and singing – while a student at Russellville High School, and he is scheduled to be on this season of American Idol. If you went to the Velcro Pygmies concert during this year’s Watermelon Festival, then you got a chance to see him in his element, performing for an audience.

Robert “Buddy” Perdue, along with his wife and mother and law, works at Thompson’s Drapery in downtown Russellville. He has a passion for running, and it only continues to grow over the years. While he runs for the love of it, he also has a special goal he’s nearing completion on – running all of the world marathon majors.

The new issue is out this week. If you are a subscriber, you should have received one in your newspaper. While they aren’t inside the newspapers in the paper boxes, we have yellow boxes located around the county where you can find them, as well as our office. We hope you’ll check it out and learn more about those featured in it, along with all of the other great content we have for you. Don’t forget to check out our Faces of Franklin County section. You just might see yourself or someone you know.

Thanks for being a reader, and if you have suggestions for possible future topics, feel free to get in touch!
