Thunderstorms blow through area
Widespread power outages resulted from severe thunderstorms over the weekend. Crews have been working hard to return everything to working order.
In addition to the outages, lots of tree limbs were broken and a number of trees were uprooted, one taking a large chunk of the sidewalk by Sadler Cemetery in downtown Russellville with it.
Other damage included bent and downed streetlight poles. Some homes and businesses suffered related damages. Wind gusts are estimated to have reached as high as 60 MPH.
