Franklin County gets ready to celebrate

Russellville is getting ready to celebrate the Fourth of July in style with its annual Jam on Sloss Lake on July 4. A local staple for years now, it is always attended by many enthusiastic festivalgoers.

Food vendors will be set up on site. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs.
Cotton Flats Cruisers will have its twelfth annual car show from 7:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Cars, trucks and bikes are welcome.

Registration is from 7-11:00 a.m., and there will be a $25 registration fee for each car, truck or bike. Prizes to be given away include a $1,000 cash grand prize, a 50/50 drawing and many other cash prizes. There will not be any swap meet spaces available.

For additional information, call Barry at 256-332-6585 or Darryl Gholston at 256-436-2499.
The splash pad will be open from 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Inflatables will be available from 12-8:00 p.m.

The musical lineup includes Purpose at 5:00 p.m., KGB at 6:10 p.m., Austin Bohannon at 7:10 p.m., Shenandoah at 8:30 p.m. and the fireworks show at 9:45 p.m.
