Bobcats get three-game sweep over CH Wildcats

The Phil Campbell Bobcats outscored Colbert Heights 37-1 in three games for a sweep of their first area series. The Bobcats pummeled the Wildcats 23-1 in game one, 4-0 in game two and 10-0 in game three.

Seniors Robbie Robinson and Bryant Anthony led the way for the Bobcats with hot bats. Robinson had six hits, which included two doubles, a triple and two home runs, and he also had 11 RBIs. Anthony had six hits, which included a double and two home runs.

Overshadowed by the hitting was the exceptional pitching from Cole and Kyle Pace and Eli Taylor. The trio allowed no earned runs and eight hits and recorded 33 strikeouts.

In game one of the series, Robinson went 3-for-3 with doubles, five RBIs and scored three times. Anthony went 3-for-4 with a double and home run, three RBIs and scored three times.

Cam Habada went 3-for-4 with a double, two RBIs and scored four times. Cole Pace singled, doubled, had two RBIs and scored a run. Kyle Pace had two hits, two RBIs and scored three times. Sage Raper tripled and had three RBIs.

Cole Pace got the win in five innings, allowing no runs and four hits and striking out six.

In game two, Taylor pitched a three-hit shutout and struck out 12.

Hunter Baker had the hot bat, recording two doubles, two RBIs and a run scored.  Robinson tripled in a run and scored. Anthony had two hits and scored. Raper singled in a run.

In game three, Kyle Pace had a one-hit shutout and mowed down 15 Wildcat batters.

Robinson hit two home runs, had five RBIs and scored twice. Anthony also homered. Cody Quinn had two hits, an RBI and a score.
