THS baseball sweeps Tanner to improve area record

The Tharptown Wildcats picked up two big area wins Monday night with a sweep of the Tanner Rattlers. Tharptown won game one 13-3 and game two 16-3.

In the first game, THS’ Dawson Higgins had a sharp night on the mound, getting the win. Higgins went four innings, allowing no hits and no earned runs, and struck out eight.

Blake Daily had the big bat, going three for three with a double, two RBIs and three runs. Ty Englethaler went two for four with three RBIs. Lucas Wright went two for three with an RBI. Jackson Clement went two for four with an RBI and three runs scored.

Hunter Motes and Higgins scored three runs each.

The Wildcats won game two 16-3.  Hunter Motes got the win on the mound, going three innings, allowing two hits, three strikeouts and no earned runs.
