Tharptown boys come from behind, beat Tanner 61-58

The Tharptown Wildcats trailed 26-11 at the end of the first quarter and came from behind to beat Tanner 61-58 in an area matchup.

Tanner appeared to be ready to run away from the Wildcats, jumping out to the 26-11 first quarter lead. Tharptown, howver, stormed back in the second quarter, outscoring the Rattlers 28-13 to tie the game 39-39 at halftime.

Tanner reclaimed the lead in the third quarter, 49-47, but Tharptown outscored Tanner 14-9 in the final period to claim the win.

Malachi Minor led Tharptown with 19 points, followed by Edwin Vela with 11 points and Blake Daily with 10 points. Jackson Clement added five points, Luis Valdez four points and Alexis Quezada three points.
