RHS Class of 1970 comes together for late 50th reunion

The RHS Class of 1970 meets at the Todd Centre for a 50+1 reunion. The 50-year reunion was previously scheduled for Oct. 16-17, 2020, but was postponed because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The event was planned and coordinated by Class President Gene Ellison and his wife Freida.  Members of the committee were local class members who helped with details, invitations and decorating.

The meal was catered by Hilltop Cafe of Russellville. Music was prepared by Doug Reynolds. A moment of silence was led by class member Dr. Ray Pritchard in memory of 27 classmates of the original 141 who have already passed.

“We had about 40 members of the class present along with 30 guests. We enjoyed the great food, renewing friendships, exchanging pictures, sharing memories and reminiscing about our days at RHS,” said class member Regina Smith Jackson. “We might not remember where we stood in the 1970 class picture, but we will never forget the bonds of friendship made at RHS. #forevergolden.”
