Letter to the Editor: Excessive political signs show poor judgment, lack of respect

To the editor of the Franklin County Times,

As a citizen of Russellville, I am very disturbed and distracted by all the political signs on North Jackson Avenue. It is not only distracting; it is also embarrassing for people coming into town.

It shows a lack of respect and poor judgment. I am not the only one who is complaining. I understand the need of some signs, but this is ridiculous to me. Every light pole from downtown to Oak Street is cluttered with these signs.

How many signs does one person need? What if every candidate did this?

To me it shows a lack of respect for the people who live in that area or have to use that street getting back and forth from work. It also shows poor judgment.

Enough is enough!

Thanks,

Chastity Harris
