Homefolks U.S.A.
Hi folks,
It’s Thanksgiving week, and we hope our story this week finds everyone in good spirits and ready to enjoy Thanksgiving Day.
This is my favorite holiday of the year, and I have so many fond memories of Thanksgiving in years gone by. These memories are truly wonderful, but I hope that we can all look favorably to this year and the many years to follow.
So many people bid us a good day or a good week with the saying, “Have a blessed day.” It seems to have replaced “have a good day,” and for me, that is OK. I like to think that each and every day will be a blessed day.
So many of the stores are already preparing for the Christmas season, and we truly hope it will be a good one.
I would really like to see us enjoying Thanksgiving Day with family and friends, enjoying a good meal and fellowship, and then making ready for Christmas – but who am I to say? I just hope we can all appreciate each and every day, have fun and be on good terms with our fellow man. I don’t think it is too much to ask for.
If you know a good story about our county, or someone in our county who has gone that extra mile to make our county stand out, please get in contact with me, and we will tell your story in Homefolks U.S.A. It’s not always big industry stories that people like; many times it’s about an individual that has done something special that was never noticed or talked about.
Certainly we want to recognize the great industries, though, because without them, where would we be? A combination of both the home folk and big business make reading stories so interesting.
Let’s all work together to make things better for everyone in the year that lies ahead.
Our traffic last week at Bolton Furniture was great, and we had many old friends come by and made new ones as well. Thanks for visits to our store; business was very good. Please help us to keep the good things going.
Til next time,
Your friend,
Bobby
