Grant upgrades Vina cafeteria
Franklin County Schools Child Nutrition Program recently received a $30,000 National School Lunch Program Equipment Assistance Grant to be used to purchase a new serving line for Vina High School cafeteria.
FCS Superintendent Greg Hamilton said the serving line being replaced was 50-plus years old.
“This was a much-needed upgrade,” Hamilton added. “The CNP staff at VHS works very hard to provide safe, nutritious meals for students, faculty and staff. The new equipment will make food preparation and serving more efficient.”
East Franklin Junior High School received the same grant in May 2018 for $58,000.
