J.T. Miller

J.T. Miller, 64, died Sept. 23 at his residence.

He was born July 8, 1954 in Alabama to John L. Miller and Lillie Emerson Miller and was a logger for thirty years.

Services will be Sept. 26 at 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, with Bro. Billy Nichols and Bro. Jack Harder officiating. Burial will be in Shottsville Cemetery, Vina. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, will be in charge of arrangements.

He is survived by his wife, Debra Miller, Vina; three children, LaShea Humphres (Jason), Vina, Sonya Miller, McCalla, and J.R. Miller (Amanda), Vina; two granddaughters, Emma and Madelyn Humphres; three brothers, Essra Miller (Loretta) Red Bay, Thomas Miller (Shelia) and Greg Miller (Nonnie), all of Vina; one sister, Misty Miller, Vina; sister-in-law, Donna Bolton; two brothers-in-law, Dewayne and Darryl McKinney; mother-in-law, Agnes McKinney; seven nieces and eight nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Johnnie Miller, sister Geraldine Caldwell and her husband, Archie Caldwell.

Pallbearers will be Rodney Kennedy, Timmy Ozbirn, David Humphres, Hub Humphres, Dale Raper, Ralph Duren and Walton Nichols.

Visitation will be Sept. 25, 6-9 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay.
