Mary Louise Harrison

Mary Louise Harrison, age 81, of Russellville, passed away Sept. 20 at her residence.

Louise was a member of the Tharptown Church of Christ and a member of the DAV Women Auxiliary.  She volunteered for years with the Disabled Veterans. She was an amazing woman, faithful wife and wonderful mother and grandmother. She loved her daughter and family more than anything, and she went way beyond being just a mother and grandmother. Even though the family is thankful she is in heaven with her beloved husband and family and no longer suffering, the family loves her and will miss her very much.

The visitation will be noon to 1 p.m. Sept. 22 at Spry Memorial Chapel, with the funeral following at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Officiating will be Bro. Gerald Ricketts. Burial will be at Tharptown Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, William “Billy” Harrison; parents Ed and Effie (Tharp) McGuire; brothers Eugene McGuire and Edward McGuire; and sisters Susie May Vandiver and Connie Clark.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Kenneatta Harrison (Shannon Smith); grandchildren, Dustin Borden (wife Gabe), Ethan Borden (wife Mariah), Brenton Borden (wife Mary Ann) and Trenton Borden; great-grandchildren, Eli Borden, Ansli Borden and Ava Borden; honorary daughter, Linda McAnally; honorary grandchildren, Nick Galloway and Nikki Reynolds; honorary great-grandchild, Nevaeh Borden; brother, Ollie McGuire; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank the friends who served as pallbearers. The honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy McGuire and Dewayne Clark.

The family wanted to give a very special thanks Keller Hospice, Dr. John Almirol, Linda McAnally, Shannon Smith, our friends and family and Spry Memorial Chapel for the love and care of our family.

Spry Memorial Chapel assisted the family. To leave private condolences, visit our website at www.sprymemorialchapel.com.
