Athens State recognizes top students

Athens State University has announced students who have been named to the President’s List and Provost’s List for the Summer 2018 semester – including a couple from Franklin County.

“Through much hard work and determination, these students excelled in their coursework and achieved remarkable academic success,” ASU reported.

From Franklin County, Phil Campbell’s Ciara Whitten was named to the President’s List, and Spruce Pine’s Ryan Champion was named to the Provost’s List.
