Flag on the play: We’re reprinting our football magazine

We know how important high school football is here in Franklin County. Whether you’re a Golden Tiger or a Bobcat, a Red Devil, Tiger or Wildcat, Friday nights in the fall are largely dedicated to cheering on these high school teams in which we take so much pride.

That’s why every fall, the Franklin County Times commits to one of the biggest products we create each year: the Franklin County Football magazine.

Unfortunately, this year’s magazine is no touchdown. It’s more of a fumble.

There’s a flag on the play, with some errors we overlooked before going to press. We know you read this magazine because we heard from you right away about the mistakes.

We’re going to re-run this play and get it right.

Next week, inside your Wednesday Franklin County Times, you will find a new copy of the Franklin County Football magazine in which the names of the Phil Campbell players will have been corrected and the RBHS JV cheer photo will be replaced with the RBHS varsity cheer photo.

We regret these errors and are happy we can make them right. When it comes to the Friday night lights, we want this to be a win for everyone.
