Crash kills Franklin man

Aug. 12 at 8:30 a.m., the Quad Cities Trooper Post was notified of a one-vehicle crash that resulted in a fatality in Lawrence County – the death of a Russellville man.

Trooper Adam Marsh responded to the crash, which occurred on Highway 33 near County Road 311, approximately three miles north of Moulton.

The deceased, Albert Denzil Berryman, 47, of Russellville, was riding a motorcycle north on Highway 33 when he apparently lost control while negotiating a curve. According to Marsh, Berryman was pronounced dead at the scene by the Lawrence County coroner.

The Trooper Post reports Berryman was wearing a safety helmet, but high speed was a major factor in the crash.
