Police arrest burglary suspect

During the morning hours of June 19, a local Russellville business was broken into, according to Russellville Police Department Sgt. Jake Tompkins.

Officers were soon notified of the break-in, in which several electronic devices were reported stolen.

Investigators were able to develop a suspect quickly, according to Tompkins, with the help of neighboring businesses and security camera footage. The suspect, Elbert Donald Taylor, 37, was picked up by RPD officers while he was walking down Highway 48.

Taylor was charged with burglary third degree and theft of property third degree.

The stolen property has not yet been recovered, Tompkins said.
