Homefolks U.S.A.

APRIL 11, 2018 — Hi folks,

It’s wonderful to see the month of April roll around again. We see the beautiful trees and all of nature’s wonders coming to life again.

Very soon the hummingbirds will be returning. I already have feed for them; I’m just waiting for their return.

I have many great memories about the month of April, but one that ranks at the top of my list is the birthday of a very special friend.

This friend has brought so much happiness in my life for the past 10 years, and I am looking forward to many more years of fun and enjoyment from this friend who ranks high on my list of those who make me happy.

I am talking about the birthday of my great little buddy, Katie.

For ten years she has been at my side, and every day something new happens that makes me feel even closer to her. I have had a lot of pets in my life, but Katie ranks near the top of them all.

It’s amazing how much happiness and joy she has had for me in the years that I have owned her. She has a special place in the store where she sits every day, from which she welcomes our many customers. Many of the people know her by name and look forward to visiting with her every month.

Katie enjoys special treats. Among her favorites are Vienna sausage and rotisserie chicken. If she has anything left over, she will cover it up and have a treat later in the day.

She loves everyone and really adores folks who will take time to rub her on the head or scratch her ears. Some of the things that make her feel uneasy are loud noise, a dark room, people who wear big hats and children who misbehave. Some of these are things I don’t enjoy myself, so I guess we have a lot in common.

Last week was a wonderful week at “Bolton’s,” as we sold merchandise to some of our customers who had been trading with us for a number of years. Most every day we have lifelong friends drop by to pay us a visit, and we want everyone to know: your visits are always appreciated, and we look forward to your visits every day.

Nothing takes the place of good friends. I really think friendship is a gift of God that so many times we take for granted.

Please continue to read and share our stories with everyone. Your kind remarks are always appreciated so very much.

Til next time,

Your friend,

Bobby
