Easter egg hunts see more than 200 attendees

More than 200 people – 255 to be exact – participated in Franklin County’s three Easter egg hunts March 24.

It was a windy, chilly day, but that didn’t stop families from grabbing their baskets and heading out to Russellville, Phil Campbell and Red Bay for the annual festivities. Children lined up all across the three parks and anxiously awaited the signal to begin the hunt. The filled eggs withstood the heavy wind long enough to be scooped up by eager hands.

Out of 99 Russellville participants, six received bicycles, and two received prize baskets. Bicycles went to Gregory Bishop, Alison Bishop, Laikyn Gardner, Weston Pickett, Ryland Pratt and Ally Mitchell. The two Easter baskets went to Tommy Sanchez and Janelle Gonzalez.

Fourteen bicycles and 10 baskets were won by the lucky few from 84 Phil Campbell participants. Shirley Romero, Avery Sherrill, Annslee Harrison, Daniel Quinn, Madison Welborn, Isabella Torres, Emmalin Nix, Michael Aviles, Kamoni Savage, Braden Granada, Michelle Guerra, Aiden Fuller, Ximena Torres and James Young won the bicycles. Ezekiel Johnson, Tiffany Adams, Jose Guerra, Helana Morales, Logen Criddle, Ashlynn Lawler, Malachi Sexton, Scarlett Morales, Ethan Waldecker and Madison Moody won the Easter baskets.

Sevemty-two people participated at Red Bay, and four bicycles and two baskets were awarded. MacKenzie English, Bradley Morgan, Genesis Aguilar and Colin Humphries won the bicycles, and Arbi Tor and Sawyer Humphries won the Easter baskets.
