Schools dismiss early Monday for weather

As expected severe weather rolls into Alabama Monday, local school are taking precautions to ensure student safety.

Russellville City Schools will dismiss at 1 p.m. March 19, and Franklin County Schools will dismiss at noon, due to the predicted severe weather in the area during regular dismissal hours.

Northwest-Shoals Community College announced Monday morning that NW-SCC campuses will also close early. NW-SCC will close at 12:30 p.m. March 19 in advance of severe weather.

Families are urged to stay weather aware today and make preparations now for a safe place to be.
