Red Bay baseball gets wins over Belgreen, Vina

Red Bay scored in all six innings of their 14-4 win over the Vina Red Devils.

The Tigers got all they needed in a seven-run first inning. Vina added two runs the top of the second inning, but the Tigers got both runs back in the bottom half of the inning. The two teams traded runs for much of the rest of the game.

Skylar Brazil led Red Bay going two-for-three, including a walk, with two runs batted in and three runs scored. Luke Rooker went two-for-three with an RBI and two runs scored. Alex Burroughs went two-for-two with two runs batted in, and he scored a run.

Kolby Bragwell scored three times. Kaleb Bragwell and Mason Holt also scored runs for the Tigers. Chase Allen had two hits and two RBIs. Also knocking in a run were Max Bullen and Cade McKinney.

Allen got the win for the Tigers, pitching three innings, striking out three and allowing three hits and three runs. Hayden Murray struck out seven for the Tigers, as well.

Jackson Landers led the Red Devils at the plate, going three-for-four with an RBI and a run scored. Also scoring for Vina were Austin Harper, Blake Hardin and Chance Kennedy.

Red Bay 12, Belgreen 4

The Red Bay Tigers scored five runs in the first and four runs in the sixth inning to run away from the Belgreen Bulldogs 12-4. The Tigers got the win despite committing seven errors.

Belgreen cut the Tigers’ lead to 5-3 in the top of the third inning. but it wasn’t enough. The Tigers had too much firepower at the plate.

Chase Allen had a five-RBI game for the Tigers, going two-for-four at the plate and scoring two runs.

Murray got the win for the Tigers, pitching six innings and striking out nine batters.

Red Bay 11, Waterloo 4

After giving up one run to the Waterloo Cougars in the top of the first inning, the Red Bay Tigers scored eight unanswered through the next four innings to run away with the game 11-4.

Kolby Bragwell went two-for-two and scored two runs. Burroughs scored three runs, and Rooker scored two runs. Cade McKinney, Brazil and Bullen scored Red Bay’s three other runs.

Brazil was the winning pitcher, going five innings, allowing five hits and three runs and striking out four.
