Saturday crash kills one

A one-vehicle crash at 10:15 p.m. Feb. 17 ended in the death of the driver, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

Tina Hood Dulaney Turbyfill, 56, was killed when the 2002 Ford Explorer she was driving ran off the roadway and struck a tree. Turbyfill was pronounced dead at the scene.

Alabama state troopers said Turbyfill was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash.

The crash occurred on Highway 247 in Franklin County, three miles north of Red Bay.

Nothing further is available as state troopers continue to investigate.
