Ollie Verdo Hallman

Ollie Verdo Hallman, age 82, of Russellville, passed away Feb. 13 at Burns Nursing Home. Mr. Hallman’s favorite enjoyment was spending time with his family.

The visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Feb. 17 at Spry Memorial Chapel with the funeral following at 2 p.m. in the chapel. Bro. Darryl Whitehead will be officiating. Burial will be at East Franklin Cemetery.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Jewel Dean Hallman; son, Gary Hallman; son-in-law, James Odom; parents, Frank and Flora Mae Hallman; and several brothers and sisters.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughters, Joyce Hallman Odom and Joann Hallman Wood (husband, Scotty); daughter-in-law, Joann Hallman; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Ollie Howard and Alton Hallman; sister, Janie Malone; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The pallbearers will be Andy Hallman, Nick Howard, Craig Howard, Ken Howard, Steven Howard and Larry Hallman. The honorary pallbearers will be Doug Hallman, Randy Hallman and Robert Poston.
