William Carl “Charles” Barfield
William Carl “Charles” Barfield, age 78, of Tuscumbia, passed away Sept. 19 at Russellville Hospital.
His visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 22 at Spry Memorial Chapel with the funeral following at 1 p.m. in the chapel. Speaking at the service will be Hillard Ayers. Burial will be at Poplar Creek Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his parents, J.W. and Annie Barfield.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 47 years, Mildred Barfield; children, Mike Alsbrooks and wife Jill, Carly Barfield and Tracy Jackson; grandchildren, Dustyn Alsbrooks, Brandyn Allsbrooks, Dylan Barfield and Garrett Jackson; Kaylee Jackson; three great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry Barfield and wife Brenda; sister, Joyce Tuttle and husband Jim; and several nieces and nephews.
The pallbearers will be Shannon Cochran, Brian Cochran, Anthony Logan, Troy Brewer, Jr., Robbie Whittle, and David Wilbanks. The honorary pallbearers will be Jake Landers, Troy Brewer Sr., William Smith and Robert Scott.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the ICU staff of Russellville Hospital, Melanie and Jean from Mission Medical and the staff of Hospice of North Alabama for the love and care shown to our family.
