Merry Catherine Archer

Merry Catherine Archer, age 39 and holding, of Russellville, passed away Sept. 2 at North Alabama Specialty Hospital in Athens.

She was a caregiver to many and brought joy to so many lives. She loved life, but above all, she loved her family.

The visitation will be held from 3-5 p.m. Sept. 5 at Spry Memorial Chapel, with a memorial service following at 5 p.m. in the chapel.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Shaler Archer, and parents, Travis Otis and Edna Pauline (Dorrett) Welch.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Jason Dyar; her son, Steven Michael Pilkerton; daughter, Anita Marie Kincaid and husband Brandon; grandchildren, Christian Pilkerton, Makayla Pilkerton, Destyne Rondeau, Graycen Pilkerton, Gabriel Sutherland, Draken Pilkerton, Madison Newell and Skyler Sutherland; great-grandchild, Eleanor Newell; siblings, Cathy Barnes, Diane Cline, George Welch, Travis Welch, Gary Welch and Jerry Wayne Welch; and a host of nieces and nephews.
