Julie Anderson Richards
Julie Anderson Richards passed away Jan. 4, 2017, at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Birmingham. A private family burial was held at Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham.
She graduated from Russellville High School in 1959. She attended the University of Alabama and was an avid Alabama fan. She loved attending football games under Bear Bryant. She enjoyed reminiscing about the fond memories she had in high school and the time she spent at the Alpha Gam house at The University of Alabama.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Dr. James Burns Anderson Jr. and Evelyn Hopkins “Hoppe” Anderson, and her daughter, Elisabeth (Beth) Alford Lafon. She is survived by her children, Leigh Anne Richards Brumfield and husband Joel and Robert Jason Richards and wife Erica; brother Dr. James Burns Anderson III and wife Grace, sister Deborah Josephine Anderson and brother Craig Hopkins Anderson and wife Jackie; grandchildren Batson, Evelyn and Burns Brumfield and Rainey Richards.
