East-West game to feature FC athletes

Six local basketball players have been selected to participate in the inaugural North Alabama High School Basketball All-Star Extravaganza. The event is being billed as an East-West all-star game.

According to the organization’s Twitter, 24 boys and 24 girls from the greater Shoals area will be selected, and the teams will be divided into 12 players each. Rosters have not been announced nor has a date, time or location of the event.

Three boys from Franklin County were selected to participate in the event: Brant Bragwell (Belgreen junior), Mason Bragwell (Belgreen junior) and Devin Buckhalter (Russellville junior).

Three girls from Franklin County were also selected to participate in the event: Abby Davis (Phil Campbell junior), Abby Hester (Vina senior) and Gabbie Moore (Belgreen junior).
