Barbara Oliver King

Barbara Oliver King, 76, of Phil Campbell, passed away July 3 at her residence in Phil Campbell.

Visitation will be July 5 from 6-8 p.m. at Akins Funeral Home, Russellville. Funeral services will be July 6 at 2 p.m. in Akins Funeral Home chapel. Burial will be at Liberty Hill Cemetery. Officiating will be Bro. Greg Beasley.

Barbara Oliver King was born Sept. 13, 1940, in Franklin County, to Lenard and Virgie Oliver. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jack C. King and an infant daughter Wanda K. King.

Mrs. King was a retired EMT serving the city of Phil Campbell for many years.

Mrs. King is survived by a daughter, Cindy K. Hargett and husband Mike; two sons, Phillip W. King and Barry J. King and wife Vicki; one brother, Leroy Oliver and wife Donna, and one sister, Shirley Byars; grandchildren, Kimberly Hargett Horton and husband Tim, Dustan J. King and wife Bethany, Whitney K. Dawson and husband Cedrick, Mialey Hargett Baker and husband Kyle and Bryant W. King. Great-grandchildren, Olivia Hood, Tucker King, Eli Hood, Hannah King, Anna Kate Hood and Abigail King.

Pallbearers will be Carl Cooper, Thelan Lacey, Eddie Barton, Merrell Potter, Terrell Potter, Shane Johnson, Robert Hooker and Roy Nagle.
