Wayne Mann
Wayne Mann, 81, passed away June 29 in Northport. He was born in Belmont, Miss., and was retired from Reynolds Metals, where he was a pipe fitter foreman. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of Yellow Creek Baptist Church in Tuscaloosa.
Services will be July 2 at 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, with Bro. Michael Powell officiating. Burial will be in Halltown Cemetery, Vina.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Jackie Mann, Tuscaloosa; five children – Linda Foley and husband James, Gary Mann and wife Sonora of Florence, Stan Mann and wife Terry of Rienzi, Miss., Regina Powell and husband Michael of Tuscaloosa and Sharon McCalpin and husband Shannon of Red Bay; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one sister – Opal Gray; one brother – Junior Mann and wife Nadine and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Flurry Cecil Mann and Gladys George Mann; a brother, Billy Joe Mann; and a sister, Eupal Dailey.
Pallbearers were Klae Mann, Seth Powell, Erik Mann, Chad Hively, Shannon McCalpin and Grayson Mann.
Visitation will be July 1, 5-8 p.m., at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay.
