Shirley Faye Cooley

Shirley Faye Cooley, 76, passed away June 15 at the Red Bay Hospital. She was born in Brosley, Mo., and was a homemaker. She was a singer and musician and sang in crusades nationwide. She and her husband, Bro. Gene Cooley, pastored Calvary Family Worship Center for 43 years.

Services were June 17 at 2:30 p.m. at Calvary Family Worship Center, Golden, Ms., with Bro. John A. Kilpatrick officiating. Burial was in Williamson Memorial, Franklin, Tenn.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Bro. Gene Cooley, Golden, Miss.; one son, Lindell Cooley and wife Amber, Franklin, Tenn.; two grandsons, Samuel Cooley and Isaac Cooley; two brothers, Larry “Moses” Tipton and wife Gayle and Jerry Tipton and wife Pat; two sisters, Lilly Tipton Edgar and Diane Tipton McGarrity; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Edward Tipton and Nora Bell Tipton; four brothers, Chester Tipton, Charles Tipton, Ellis Tipton and Arnold Tipton; and one sister, Mary Pind.

Visitation was June 17, 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Calvary Family Worship Center.
