Ralph Delano Chappell
Ralph Delano Chappell, age 83, of Phil Campbell, departed this world June 8, 2017. He was born in Franklin County, Feb. 16, 1934.
He moved to Rockford, Ill., in the 1950s, where he worked and retired from Mechanics Universal Joint, a division of Borg Warner Corp.
Ralph was preceded in death by his wife Betty Jean (Posey) Chappell; father, Fred Chappell; mother, Martha Carpenter Chappell; and brothers, Fred Chappell Jr., Kenneth Chappell, Don Chappell, Bobby Chappell and Gene Autry Byrd.
Ralph is survived by his three sons, Stan Chappell, Steve (aka Tony) Chappell and Michael and wife Mitzi Chappell; brothers, Jack Chappell (Cleveland, Ohio) and Raymon Chappell (Aragon, Ga.); grandchildren, Adam and wife Trish Chappell, Gabe and wife Teresa Chappell, Amy Miller and step-granddaughter Shawnee and husband Rob Tillmon; 11 great grandchildren; sisters-in-law Elloween Bolton and Gladys Gargis; as wells as numerous and very loved nieces and nephews.
The visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 17 at Spry Memorial Chapel in Russellville. The funeral will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Steve Chappell officiating. Burial will be at Blue Springs Cemetery in Phil Campbell.
