Mary Catherine Torra
Mary Catherine Torra passed away June 7 in her home in Red Bay. Catherine was born in Russellville Jan. 9, 1942. She joined the U.S. Army in 1976 to serve her country. She was married to Gene Mann and later to John Torra. She went out kickin’, laughin’, eatin’ fried food and remembering the good times. She leaves behind the reminder to live life to its fullest and to always “Be nice!”
Catherine will especially be missed by three daughters: Alisa Holmes, Katrina Maloney and Lajuana Grincavitch, as well as her brother, Marlin Saint, and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was a member of Red Bay Freewill Baptist Church.
Visitation was held June 9 from 6-8 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay. Services were June 10 at 10 a.m. at Red Bay Freewill Baptist Church with Bro. Steve Lindsay officiating. She laid in state June 10 from 9-10 a.m. at the church.
