Frances Sue Uptain

Frances Sue Uptain, 86, of Russellville, passed away June 12 at Burns Nursing Home in Russellville. A native of Mount Hope, she had lived in Russellville for the past 67 years and was a homemaker and member of Siloam Baptist Church.

Visitation for Mrs. Uptain was held June 13 at Pinkard Funeral Home from noon to 2 p.m.  Services followed at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Keith Prince officiating. Burial was at Franklin Memory Gardens. Pallbearers were Randy Knight, Andy Kastberg, Abram Thorn, Adam Brown, Matt Uptain and Milton Green.

Survivors of Mrs. Uptain include two sons, James Uptain of Akron and Thomas Uptain and wife Mary of Russellville; daughters, Carolyn Pace and husband Robert and Shelia Plemons and husband Steve, all of Russellville. She is also survived by a sister, Betty Lovett of Moulton, and ten grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren, plus other family, including nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roscoe Uptain, and her parents, James and Cora Spruell.

The family of Mrs. Uptain would like to offer their heartfelt appreciation to the employees and staff of Burns Nursing Home for providing loving care of their mother and for making her a part of their family.
