Kittie Jo Steward

Kittie Jo Steward, 79, of Phil Campbell, passed away June 6 at her residence. She was a native of Phil Campbell and was a retired department manager at Walmart. She was also a member of Shady Grove Free Will Baptist Church.
Visitation for Mrs. Steward will be June 8 from noon until 2 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville. Services will follow in the funeral home chapel with Gary Yielding officiating. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery, Liberty Hill.
Mrs. Steward is survived by her daughters, Myra Childs and Terrie McCarley; siblings, Billy Hall and Doris Hardesty; and grandchildren, Telisha Patterson, Fallon Steward, Chad McCarley and wife Chelsey, Megan Swann and husband Tripp, Jay Steward and Gabriela Childs. Eight great-grandchildren survive her as well.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Marvin Steward; parents, Ulys and Ida Nix Hall; son, Keith Steward; and sister, Patricia Taylor.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to North Alabama Hospice and caretakers Lina Hall and Sherry Dixon for the compassionate and professional care provided our loved one.
