Watermelon Festival T-shirts: available now
The bands are lined up, the vendors registered, the watermelons are growing – or at least, they had better be, by now – and Watermelon Festival T-shirts are on sale.
Watermelon Festival T-shirts for the Aug. 18-19 festival are available at the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. This year’s design highlights the first of three years celebrating the Alabama Bicentennial, modifying the theme of Alabama Place to Franklin County Places. The festival’s Mr. Ant mascot is driving his pick-up truck of watermelons to the festival, while a signpost directs visitors to different tourist locations across the county.
Shirts are available in coral, dark red, mint and indigo, in youth extra-small through extra-large ($15); adult small through XL ($15); and adult 2X-4X ($18). Long-sleeved shirts are available in sky blue, adult small through 2X ($20).
