Garden Club honors essay contest winner

Garden Club honors essay contest winner

Each year the Cultura Garden Club of Russellville promotes an essay contest to encourage Russellville High School students in their appreciation of the outside world. This year’s winner is Tristan Patrick.

A member of the Class of 2017, Patrick wrote an essay titled “Stolen Hives,” concerning why the world needs its pollinators.

Patrick plans to attend the University of Alabama in the fall, with a goal of working with a government agency.
