Agnes Elizabeth Raper
Agnes Elizabeth Raper, 92, passed away May 14 at her residence. She was born in Marion County and worked as a seamstress. She was a member of Community Center Baptist Church, Red Bay.
Services will be May 18 at 1 p.m. at Community Center Baptist Church with Bro. Barry Raper and Bro. Rick Murrell officiating. Burial will be in Old Line Cemetery, Hodges.
Survivors are three children – Donald Raper Sr. and Sherry Bolton and husband Larry, all of Golden, Miss., and Carolyn Haithcock and husband Jerry of Hodges; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Maggie Yielding, Adrian, Mi.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Raper; five sons, James Robert Raper, Jimmy Raper, Roger Raper, Danny Raper and Dennis Raper; four grandchildren; her parents, Dave and Mattie Green Yielding; and four brothers and two sisters.
Pallbearers will be Connor Stults, Brandon George, Dale Raper and Eric Raper.
Visitation will be May 17 from 6-9 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, and she will lie in state May 18 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church.
