Eupal Lindsey Thorne
Eupal Lindsey Thorne, 84, passed away May 7 at NMMC. She was born in Itawamba County, Mississippi, to Zachary Benjamin “Dutch” Lindsey and Minnie Bell Brazil Lindsey. She was saved 60 years ago and was a member of Red Bay Free Will Baptist Church and the Eastern Star.
Services will be May 9 at 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, with Bro. Steve Lindsay officiating. Burial will be in Burnout Cemetery.
She is survived by two children: Kathy Thorne Ivy of Red Bay and Jerry Wayne Thorne and wife Beverly of Vina; three grandchildren: Brad Ivy and wife Sonya, Heath Thorne and wife Tiffany and Amber Rieder and husband Josh; eight great-grandchildren: Nicole Earnest, Jeremiah Thorne, Joshua Thorne, Elijah Hill, Weston Hill, Tristan Rieder, Eirabelle Rieder and Valen Reider; one great-great-grandson: Caseyn Rayburn; brother-in-law-Paul Taylor; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, J.W. Thorne; son-in-law David Ivy; and brothers and sisters J.D. Lindsey, Monroe Lindsey, Opal Thorne, Fannie Pruitt and Eula Taylor.
Pallbearers will be Phillip Cooper, Glen Vinson, Sonny Martin, Bobby Patterson and Gary Lindsey. Honorary pallbearers will be Zack Woods, Trent Woods, Austin Holland and Morgan Miller.
Visitation will be May 8 from 6-9 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay.
