Russellville golf preps for sectionals

Russellville boys golf recently notched a decisive win over Lawrence County, and the young team is now preparing for sectionals – with an eye on state.

In the Russellville 159 Lawrence County 168 win, Jaceton Murray claimed medalist honors with a one under par 34 at Twin Pines in Littleville. Brayden Bendall shot 36, and Bailey Motes shot 42. Eric Boutwell has also been a top golfer for the Golden Tiger team this season.

Section games will be May 1-2; substate, featuring the top four from section, will be held May 8-19; and the state tournament is set for May 15-16.
