He worked at First National Bank and Colonia Bank as loan officer and senior vice president until his retirement. He was also a Mason and served as a Russellville City councilman. He was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Army at the end of World War II.
Mr. Weatherford was preceded in death by his parents, Foss James Weatherford Sr. and Lurlie Berry Weatherford; wife, Mable Grant Weatherford; and daughter, Janice Weatherford. Two sisters, Madge Weatherford Turner McRight and Edith Weatherford Pierce, and a brother, John Berry Weatherford, also preceded him in death.

Even though Jimmy was tall in stature, he had a kind and generous heart and was a “True Southern Gentleman.” He always said God had been so good and gracious to him that he felt the need to share his vegetables from his bountiful garden with his friends and family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to one’s church or favorite charity.
