Betty Jo Oliver
Betty Jo Oliver, age 84, Phil Campbell, went to her Heavenly home on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Oliver was a member of Gospel Lighthouse Pentecostal Church. She loved being outside gardening, and attending church and singing. Most of all she loved her Lord, her grandchildren and her family.
The visitation will be 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 31, 2017 at Spry Memorial Chapel, with the funeral following at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel. Officiating will be Rev. William Burcham and Rev. John Andrews. Burial will be at Shady Grove Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, James Lester Oliver; parents, James & Sarah (McKinney) Bohannon; 3 brothers, and 4 sisters.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Donna Andrews (husband, John); grandchildren, Casie Andrews and Kody Andrews; sister, Maxine Rea; and a host of nieces & nephews.
The pallbearers will be Kody Andrews, Frank Hoehn, Jim Strickland, Charles Overton, Daniel Overton, Tyler Burcham, and Tommy Thompson. The honorary pallbearer will be Rev. Duane Burcham.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Jodi and Kathy of Hospice of North Alabama, Dr. Keith Morrow and his staff, our church family, friends, and neighbors for all your prayers, food, gifts of love and care of any kind during the caring of our mom and grandmother.
