Ronald Ray “Bruiser” Townsend

Ronald Ray “Bruiser” Townsend, age 51, of Phil Campbell, passed away March 24 at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital.

Visitation will be March 29 from noon until 2 p.m. at Akins Funeral Home, Russellville, with the funeral services immediately following at 2 p.m. in Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. James Williams and Bro. Jim Lumpkin officiating. Burial will be in Blue Springs Cemetery.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Elsie Townsend; his sisters, Nell Saylor, Sandi Williams and Debbie Salters; and brother Edward Townsend. Ronald is survived by his son Will Townsend, brothers Brian Baker and wife Alicia and Jack Baker and wife Brenda and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Nicholas Baker, Cory Gable, Chris Saylor, Dylan Windom, Chase Kimbrough, Drake Kimbrough, Dylan Williams and Marcus Lyons.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make donations to Akins Funeral Home for funeral expenses.
