RPD arrests one for assault

A Russellville man is in jail following an assault arrest over the weekend.

Russellville Police Department investigators reported that over the past weekend the RPD was dispatched to the 700 block of Beech Street in reference to an assault. During the investigation it was determined the victim “had suffered broken bones and other injuries that required surgery to repair the injuries sustained during the assault,” according to officials.

After the investigation was completed, Russellville Police Investigation Unit arrested Max A. Bryant Jr, 53, of Russellville, for assault second degree. The suspect is currently in Franklin County Jail.
