Pilgrim’s holds job fair
Whether people are interested in human resources, service technician, plant production or truck driver positions, Pilgrim’s is looking to hire Friday.
Pilgrim’s will host a job fair March 24 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with an eye toward filling about 100 positions.
“We’re looking to increase our staffing,” explained human resources director Mollie Shirley. Although the company take applications daily, Shirley said a job fair is a good way to make sure applicants get a good feel for the atmosphere at Pilgrim’s. “They can see the plant, take the tour, talk to any of us. Management is here and available,” she said. “We want potential applicants to see the atmosphere of the plant, that this is a great place to work.”
Depending on the volume of applicants Friday, onboarding timeframe could be as soon as the beginning of April.
Shirrley said potential applicants should also know Pilgrim’s is actively analyzing its pay scale, and increases are anticipated. “I don’t’ have anything confirmed yet, but there will be increases in the very near future,” she said.
