Sandra Burnell (Gilbert) Pace

Sandra Burnell (Gilbert) Pace, age 76, Russellville, passed away March 4 at ECM Hospital.

Our mother was more than a mother to just us four children; she was a mother to many. She was always willing to help anyone, showing love, kindness and generosity to everyone. She was always there to listen to our problems, always being reassuring that everyone makes mistakes. She was a wonderful example of a Christian lady and mother. The fondest memory of our mother is sitting reading her Bible on a daily basis. If she could just leave one piece of advice, it would be “Just Pray,” and she never quit believing in the power of prayer. She was loved by everyone who knew her and will be missed by all.

The visitation will be 6-8 p.m. March 6 at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. March 7 at Spry Memorial Chapel with Bro. Lonnie Oldag and Bobby Bolton speaking at the service. Burial will be at Franklin Memory Gardens.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Ruth Gilbert; and siblings, Earline Pennington, Elsie Pennington, Edna Tyler, Era McPherson, Gail Hammon, E.C. Gilbert, J.W. Gilbert, Carl Gilbert and Kenneth Gilbert.

She leaves to cherish her memory the father of her children, John Foster Pace; her children, Kenneth Ray Pace Sr., Barbara Gail Young and husband Allen, Sandra Karan Vincent and husband Danny and Pamela Joy Oliver and husband Dewayne; 13 grandchildren, Kenny Pace Jr. and wife Kim, Johnathan Pace and wife April, Jason Pace, Chris Winstead, Josh Winstead and wife Wendy, Tony Young and wife Jennifer, Floyd Young, Jessica Thompson and husband Caleb, Cliff Vincent and wife Tara, Kevin Vincent and wife Hannah, Chad Borden and wife Suzi, Tiffany Brewer and husband Jason and Sandi Borden; 24 great-grandchildren, Kimberly, Clarissa, Lexia, John Daniel, Carson, Mallory, Tyler, Ethan, Kailey, Lily, Jasper, Renzie, Remi Jo, Olivia, Benjamin, Trey, Katie Beth, Brodie, Luke, Brett, Alex, DaKota, Jacob and Joey; and too many nieces and nephews to count.

The pallbearers will be the grandsons, Kenny Pace, Johnathan Pace, Jason Pace, Chris Winstead, Josh Winstead, Cliff Vincent, Kevin Vincent, Tony Young, Chad Borden, Floyd Young, Jason Brewer and Caleb Thompson.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the nurses and staff of Russellville Health Care and the 6th floor and Palliative Care of ECM for the love and care of our mother.
